About the tour
Experience Norway in magical winter, first exploring Oslo and Bergen with an epic journey on the spectacularly scenic Bergen Railway, before embarking on a six-night cruise into the enthralling Arctic wilderness.
Our northbound sea voyage from Bergen to Kirkenes passes beautiful fjords, and crosses the Arctic Circle, before a husky sled ride into winter wonderland scenery then sailing around the North Cape.
There's a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights as we travel through the remote Lofoten Islands into Arctic landscapes, where the everchanging light casts an enchanting glow.

Itinerary
Your Northern Lights and Arctic cruise holiday begins at London Heathrow where you meet the Tour Manager and the rest of our group before boarding a morning flight to Norway's capital city of Oslo.
On arrival, we transfer by efficient rail to our central hotel, close to Oslo Central Station and the celebrated Norwegian Opera House. This innovative green city is regularly commended for its progressive architecture and, with a people-friendly centre that is becoming increasingly car-free with more large green spaces, it is pioneering a new future for European cities.
After checking in for an overnight stay, we walk to a nearby restaurant for dinner this evening.

This was a very enjoyable trip despite the cold. The train journey from Oslo to Bergen was very relaxing and scenic and seemed to go quickly despite taking around 7 hours. Bergen was interesting with lots to see and luckily it did not rain. We had a local guide on one of the mornings who was amusing and informative. We caught the Havila Polaris a modern ship with plenty of amenities. The staff were extremely courteous and the food was excellent on board. We stopped at several ports and had the opportunity to take part in organised excursions or do our own thing. Having reached Kirkenes, we flew back to Oslo to stay in the same central hotel. Both hotels were part of the Thon Group who appear to offer good central hotels. Finally a big thanks to Trevor, our tour manager, who made sure we were in the right place at the right time and sorted out any problems presented to him.

Great experience - loved the train journey but the cruise was brilliant! Service and facilities on the ship were first class, and the food was absolutely excellent! Clear weather ensured fantastic views of the Northern Lights - unforgettable! Also, the dog sledding experience was brilliant! Very satisfied with the trip.

It was very good well organized and we really enjoyed it. Ian the tourmanager was very helpful and went out of his way to help us. The only thing he could do better wae his communication with us. A whatsup group would have been nice instead of word by mouth

Fabulous time on a small Norwegian boat. Lovely fellow passengers and excellent ports of call. We also saw the most amazing Northern Lights night after night. Also the stays in Bergen and Oslo were brilliant. Both are really interesting places.
